PARIS - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija, Marko Djuric, opened an exhibition titled "Kosovo-Metohija - 10 steps" at the Serbian Cultural Centre in Paris Tuesday, noting it best reflected the nature and the value of the Serbian heritage in Kosovo-Metohija.

THE HAGUE - David Schwendiman of the United States has been appointed chief prosecutor of a Hague-based special court that will investigate war crimes committed during the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo.

The court is looking at atrocities committed against Serbs by the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army during and after the conflict, Reuters reported.

BIRN’s film The Unidentified, which investigates the Serbian commanders responsible for brutal attacks during the Kosovo war, was screened at the BELDOCS documentary festival.

The Unidentified, which names the Serbian officers who ordered attacks on Kosovo villages around the town of Pec/Peja in 1999 and those involved in the cover-up operation to hide the victims' bodies, was awarded the best short documentary prize at the South East European Film Festival in Los Angeles on Thursday.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The Holy Fire from Jerusalem was on Monday welcomed for the second consecutive year by Christian Orthodox believers in the Church of St. Demetrius in Kosovska Mitrovica.

GRACANICA - Head of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo-Metohija (KiM) Marko Djuric attended the Easter liturgy in the Gracanica monastery in KiM and wished Orthodox Christian believers in Serbia a happy Easter.
    

Six persons have been arrested in Kosovo on suspicion of links to organized crime and activities that damaged the Kosovo budget and Serb families from Kosovo.

Anti-fascists held an alternative memorial for victims of the Jasenovac concentration camp after boycotting the state ceremony, accusing officials of downplaying the Croatian WWII Nazi-allied regime’s crimes.

Senior ministers attended the official annual commemoration at the Jasenovac concentration camp, but Croatian Serbs held a separate event amid an ongoing dispute about the country’s Nazi-allied WWII regime.

Former Croatian President Ivo Josipovic has said he will boycott the official state commemoration for the victims of the Ustasha death camp Jasenovac.

He said that "despite its strong anti-fascist tradition, the emergence of ustashism is being tolerated in Croatia."
