Bulgaria: 146 years since the April Uprising
On April 20, 1876, the April Uprising broke out in Koprivshtitsa, thanks to which Bulgaria appeared on the map of Europe.
The decision to launch the uprising was taken by the Giurgiu Revolutionary Committee, the Bulgarian lands were divided into 5 revolutionary districts - the first Tarnovo, the second Sliven, the third Vratsa, the fourth Plovdiv and the fifth Sofia.

A New Case of African Swine Fever in Plovdiv and Lovech
The carcass of a killed wild boar has given a positive result for the disease virus.
"A new case of African swine fever has been discovered in a wild boar found in the territory of Perushtitsa." This was announced by the director of the Regional Directorate of Forests in Plovdiv, Miroslav Dimitrov, immediately after the meeting of the Regional Epizootic Commission, quoted by BTA.
Balloon with Tourists got Stuck in Rocks in the Bulgarian Rhodopes
A group of tourists flying on a balloon got stuck between rocks in the Rhodopes around 20:30 on Thursday, announced the Mountain Rescue Service at the Bulgarian Red Cross.
No one got injured in the incident. Tourists have been rescued by Civil Protection.
The accident occurred in the area of Ustina village, in the area known as the "Tower".
Plovdiv Municipalities Will Receive Over BGN 2 million to Deal with the Consequences of Disasters
The government has allocated over BGN 33 million to municipalities to deal with the consequences of disasters.
Over BGN 2 million are intended for several municipalities in the Plovdiv region, including Karlovo and Perushtitsa.
The Kuklen Municipality will have approximately BGN 386,000 for emergency landscaping on the Yavrovo-Dobralak municipal road.
Mayor of Bulgaria's Perushtitsa Reinstated amid Corruption Probe
A court in Plovdiv, Bulgaria's second-biggest city, has overturned the removal from office of Radi Minchev, the mayor of the southern town of Perushtitsa.
The Plovdiv Court of Appeals believes there is not enough evidence that Michev might interfere with an ongoing investigation if he remains at his post, according to BGNES wire service.
Perushtitsa Mayor Indicted on Two More Counts
Regional Prosecutor's Office - Plovdiv has indicted the Mayor of Perushtitsa on two more counts besides the demanded bribe of BGN 40,000.

Mayor of Bulgaria's Perushtitsa Arrested in Corruption Probe
