New Earthquake Rocks Croatia, Tremor Felt in Zagreb
A new quake of magnitude 4.2 on the Richter scale was registered this morning near the Croatian city of Petrinja and its vicinity, the Index website reported, quoted by BTA. The earthquake was also felt in Zagreb.

Another earthquake was felt at around 7:50 am in the area of Petrinja and the surrounding area, with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale.
The quake was also felt in Zagreb, reports Index.hr.

Croatia's Seismological Service on Wednesday at 6.15am, 6.26am and 6.29am recorded three more earthquakes centred not far from the town of Petrinja, some 60 km south of Zagreb - the town which was seriously damaged by powerful quakes on Tuesday that killed at least seven people.

Turkish president condoles with quake-hit Croatia
The Turkish president on Dec. 29 extended his condolences to his Croatian counterpart over a magnitude 6.3 earthquake.
According to a statement from the Turkish Directorate of Communications, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Zoran Milanovic.
Erdoğan stated that Turkey is ready to provide search and rescue teams and all the help that may be needed.

According to the latest information, seven people were killed, including two children. There are two Serbs among them, said the president of the Serbian National Council, Milorad Pupovac.

According to the EMSC, the earthquake was 6.3 on the 46 kilometers from Zagreb. There are five victims in Croatia.
The earthquake was felt in our country, but also in the region - it was reported in Banja Luka, Zagreb, Vukovar and Split.
After the first, another earthquake followed, which was weaker - 4.5 degrees.
The quakes also hit North Macedonia and Greece.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 on the Richter scale hit the Petrinja area, south of the capital Zagreb, at 12.20 on Tuesday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre said.

Second Round of Quakes in Year Cause Panic in Croatia
After a severe earthquake struck the Croatian capital Zagreb in March this year, another series of slightly smaller quakes hit the country south of the capital on Monday.
The strongest one with a magnitude of 5 on the Richter scale had its epicenter some 12 kilometres southwest of Sisak, 60 km south of Zagreb.
