Rosemont Pharmaceuticals acquires Pharma-Data
UK-based Rosemont Pharmaceuticals Ltd, a leading company in the development, production and distribution of pharmaceuticals in liquid form for over 50 years, has acquired Greek private research and development company Pharma-Data, the Leeds-headquartered industry announced on Thursday.

Halloumi and pharma boost Cyprus trade
Cyprus' main exports for 2023 included mineral fuels and oil, halloumi and pharmaceutical products, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service (CyStat).
In an infographic published on Tuesday, CyStat shows that Cyprus exported 508.39 million euros of domestically produced goods to EU countries and another €1.84 billion to third countries.

Pharmathen acquires local firm CBL Patras
Pharmathen pharmaceuticals has acquired CBL Patras peptide material suppliers, it was reported on Monday.
Approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Pharmathen specializes in one of the most extensive and technologically advanced pipelines in long-acting injectables (LAI), sustained release formulations and preservative-free ophthalmics.

Serbian gov't signs MoU with pharmaceuticals company MSD
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic and the senior vice president of the pharmaceuticals firm Merck Sharp and Dohme (MSD), Cyril Schiever, signed on Wednesday a MoU that will be significant for Serbia's future BIO4 Campus research centre.
Brnabic thanked MSD for supporting "our efforts to make Serbia a leader in biotechnology, biomedicine, bioresearch and bioinformatics."
Romanian pharma industry's turnover close to 70 bln lei this year
The turnover of Romanian drug manufacturers, distributors and pharmacies was 66.6 billion lei in 2020, up 2.6 percent from 2019 and over 100 percent higher compared to 2010, shows a survey by KeysFin - one of the most important providers of business information solutions in Romania - based on Finance Ministry figures.
The New Biovet Peshtera Plant Opens Today
A new factory for the production of pharmaceutical products and feed additives opens the Biovet Peshtera at this time. The total investment is BGN 300 million.
The plant will create more than 200 new jobs for highly qualified staff. About 1/3 of the investment was funded by a Junker plan loan in 2018.
