From Friday 25th of September until Sunday 27th of September, the Acropolis Museum will give visitors the opportunity to discover the landscapes, the people and the great archaeological exhibits of Samothrace, on the occasion of European Heritage Days and World Tourism Day.

The Louvre Museum has agreed to the reproduction of one of its most prized posessions – the Nike of Samothrace (Winged Victory of Samothrace). Two replicas will be made following the initiative of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Prefect George Pavlidis who stressed the statue’s significance to the cultural heritage of Samothrace.

The Acropolis Museum will offer its visitors the opportunity to discover the landscape, the people and the archaeological finds of Samothrace island with the assistance of archaeologists-curators within the framework of the European Cultural Heritage Days and the World Tourism Day.
