Mayor of town near Albanian border calls for gun trade crackdown
Andreas Papaspyrou, the mayor of Konitsa, near Greece's border with Albania, has called for better policing and heightened security in the border region following the discovery on Thursday of a cache of assault rifle ammunition, the latest in a string of such finds.
Snow makes comeback in central, northern Greece
Authorities in the areas of Ioannina and Volos in northern and central Greece were struggling on Tuesday with a new wave of snow following last week's cold snap.
Schools in many parts of both areas were ordered to remain closed, as snow and ice made driving treacherous in many parts of the city's outskirts and at higher altitudes.

Endless snowfall in Northern Greece
The Civil Protection Units in Epirus County are trying to open the main roads in the area since early this morning.
It has been snowing continuously since Tuesday on the mountain tops of Pindos and the mountain villages are all white!
