Athens without metro, ISAP, tram on Tuesday morning
A walkout by staff on public transport on Tuesday is to cause travel disruptions.
Services on the Athens metro, the ISAP electric railway and the tram will not start until 8 a.m. while trolley bus services will be suspended between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Protesters are demanding recruitment, the reversal of transfers and relocations, and more funding for transport services.
Public transport stoppage on Tuesday
Workers on the Athens metro, ISAP electric railway and tram will stage a brief work stoppage on Tuesday, starting their shift at 8 a.m. rather than 5 a.m.
The union representing workers on fixed-track modes of transportation is protesting staffing and administration policies, saying it is prepared to take more action unless demands are met.

Stevedores protest privatization of Piraeus
Stevedores held a protest on Thursday to voice opposition to the privatization of the Piraeus Port Authority (OLP) and pledged further action if the government does not halt the planned sale of a 67 percent stake in OLP.
The port workers staged a march to the Shipping Ministry, where they held a meeting with Alternate Minister Theodoros Dritsas.

Fifteen of the 18 inmates injured during deadly clashes at Korydallos Prison on Sunday night were discharged from the hospital on Monday.
The remaining three prisoners are still receiving treatment for head, chest and stomach wounds. Their injuries are not life-threatening, according to doctors.
Two killed, around 20 wounded in clash between inmates
Two men were killed and at least 20 wounded in a violent clash between inmates at the Greek capital's Korydallos Prison on Sunday.
According to initial reports, a group of inmates believed to be Albanians and Arabs and armed with knives among other weapons, attacked another group of Pakistani inmates as they were returning to their cells at the detention facility's C Wing.
Maersk, Cosco interested in PPA majority stock
PPA (Piraeus Port Autority)’s majority stock is to be put up for sale by the Greek government.
According to the Wall Street Journal, which quotes a top government official, the new proposal will be forwarded to interested parties next week. Remuneration from the privatization will be lower.

Greece said to proceed with privatization of ports, airport

Greece will proceed with the sale of stakes in strategic assets such as the port of Piraeus and 14 regional airports this year, according to Greek officials with direct knowledge of the matter.
