'Inside Out 2' posts smashing debut at box office
The coming-of-age movie "Inside Out 2" debuted atop the North American box office, raking in a whopping $155 million with its animated tale of teen angst, industry watcher Exhibitor Relations reported on June 16.
"This is a sensational opening by Pixar's own exceptional standard for a follow-up sequel," said analyst David A. Gross of Franchise Entertainment Research.

Disney's latest animation "Lightyear," which features a same-sex kiss, has been denied release in more than a dozen mainly Muslim countries.
Countries across Asia and the Middle East have refused to give Pixar's "Toy Story" spinoff a showing, in the latest development for parent company Disney as it tries to navigate differing public and political attitudes on LGBTQ issues.

United Arab Emirates bans Pixar’s ‘Lightyear’ from showing
The United Arab Emirates on June 13 banned the upcoming Pixar animated feature "Lightyear" from showing in movie theaters amid reports that the film includes a kiss between two female characters.
Peak aims high after $1.8 bln acquisition
The young and discreet founder and employees of Turkish gaming company Peak are aiming high after its acquisition by U.S. giant Zynga for $1.8 billion.
The Zynga-Peak deal announced on June 1 resembles that of between Pixar and Disney in 2006, according to the Turkish company's strategy director.

New car sales up by 50% for March
Sales of new and second hand cars for the month of March increased by over 43%, as more than 15,000 vehicles were registered in 2017, according to the Greek Statistical Services (ELSTAT). 15,350 cars were put into circulation in the month compared to 10,699 in March of 2016, with the brand new cars amounting to 10,003 in comparison to 6,698 in last year over the same period.
