Authorities in Istanbul have taken measures to prevent illegal cutting down of pine trees ahead of New Year’s Eve, with officials carrying out extensive controls in forested areas for the past 15 days to protect the trees.
150 New Trees were Planted in the Lauta Park in Plovdiv
150 new trees, including 100 squids, 30 pine trees and fir trees and 20 euodias, are planted at another massive forestation in Lauta Park in Plovdiv, the municipal press reported.
Nearly 80 decares will reach the biggest operation of this kind in the last decade of the Lauta extension, said the mayor of Trakia district Kostadin Dimitrov.
The Municipality of Sofia will Plant a Forest near Suhodol
Over 120 000 trees will be planted near Sofia's quarter Suhodol, reports Mediapool.
The new forest in Sofia should be plantet there and the Municipality of Sofia have already named their initiative. The planting of the first part of the plants starts this Saturday at 11 am, the local administration said.

BELGRADE - Wine grape varieties are cultivated on 17,483 hectares in Serbia, accounting for around 75.7 percent of vineyard land, show the figures from the specialised publication The Vine-Growing Atlas.
Grapes are produced by 80,341 farms - 12.7 percent of the total number of farms in Serbia - say the figures released by the national statistical office.

No matter what kind of solution the coalition government ends up adopting in order to deal with this problem, it will have to be one based on crystal-clear rules and a sense of overall transparency.
