Plug-in electric vehicles in Norway

The number of vehicles registered in Turkey reached 159,219  in the first three months of this year, the country's statistics authority said on May 2.       

A total of 66,578 first- and second-hand vehicles were registered in November 2018, the country's statistics authority revealed on Jan. 4.

Electric or hybrid vehicles accounted for more than half of all new cars sold in Norway last year, official data showed on Jan. 3, confirming the country’s pioneering role in carbon-free transport.     

 Sales of electric and hybrid cars exceeded half of new registrations in Norway in 2017, a record aided by generous subsidies that extended the Nordic nation's lead in a shift from fossil-fuel engines, data showed on Wednesday, reported Reuters. 

At the end of November this year, the number of electric cars and hybrids sold world-wide exceeded 3 million. The exact figure is 3.3 million vehicles, and only this year the sales of plug-in hybrids worldwide exceeded 1 million units, Automedia writes, referring to information from the EV Sales Blog.

The number of motor vehicle registrations in Turkey decreased 17 percent year-on-year in June, the country's statistics authority revealed on Aug. 9.

A total of 95,608 first- and second-hand vehicles were registered in the sixth month of the year, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).
