The New Bulgarian 100 Leva Banknote is More Secure than the Euro
The new 100 Leva banknote that the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) put into circulation on 28 December 2018 appears to be more secure than the euro.
Macedonia Gives Up Paper Money
Macedonia began the gradual withdrawal of paper money from circulation. First, the country will withdraw the denominations of 10 and 50 denars, which are the most used in payments in the country, the Macedonian central bank said.

Britain unveils Jane Austen bank note on anniversary
The Bank of England on July 18 unveiled a new bank note featuring Jane Austen to coincide with the author's death 200 years ago after a campaign to include more women on Britain's currency.
The new note worth ten pounds ($13, 11.3 euros) and made of polymer instead of paper will enter circulation in September.
ECB Unveils New €50 Banknote
The European Central Bank has announced that the new 50 euro banknotes, with the word "euro" written in Cyrillic script enter circulation on 4 April.

Businesses get informed on safety features of new 20-euro note
The European Central Bank (ECB) prepared for the launch of a new 20-euro banknote on November 25, 2015. To prepare for its launch 2.8 mln businesses are receiving information leaflets and motion cards so as to be informed about the “design and security features” of the new note. It can be easily checked manually using the feel-look-tilt method.
