Deaths of bathers in Porto Rafti, Samos and Nafplio
Three people died by drowning on Saturday (27/7) in separate incidents in Attica, Argolida and Samos.
Specifically, at noon, the Port Authority of Markopoulo was informed that a 77-year-old Greek woman was pulled unconscious from the beach of Agia Marina, Porto Rafti.
She was transported by ambulance to Evangelismos, where she was pronounced dead.
Man dies after car collides with fuel truck
A man has died after the car he was driving collided with a fuel truck on a thoroughfare in eastern Attica.
The incident occurred at around 5 p.m. at the 38th kilometer mark on Porto Rafti Avenue.
Initial reports say the car burst into flames after the collision.

Young man killed in car crash; passenger seriously injured
A 27-year-old man died when the car he was driving veered out of control and crashed on Porto Rafti Avenue, southeast of Athens, on Monday night, shortly after 11 p.m.
According to reports, the vehicle seems to have careened into a bus stop at high speed before slamming into a telephone and an electricity post, killing the driver and injuring his passenger.
Three killed in separate road accidents
Three people were killed and one person was injured in separate traffic accidents late on Thursday and early on Friday morning in Attica.
At around 8.30 p.m., a bus struck a 49-year-old cyclist, who was originally from India, on the Metamorfosi-Ano Patisia route in Nea Filadelfia. The cyclist was transferred to hospital, where he subsequently died.

Greek police say they have arrested a Golden Dawn member over an assault against five people at an anarchist hangout in Piraeus almost three years ago.
Two arrested at East Attica cannabis farms
Two professionally equipped cannabis plantations were discovered by officers of the police narcotics squad in a forest area near the seaside resort town of Porto Rafti in Eastern Attica on Wednesday.
Two foreign nationals, aged 35 and 36, who were reportedly working at the plantations, were arrested.

Sailboat catches fire off Porto Rafti
A catamaran was engulfed in flames on Friday in the sea off the coast of the eastern Attica resort town of Porto Rafti.
It was not clear what caused the fire but all nine people were safely evacuated with the help of a private speedboat.
