So-Called Superfoods will be Included in the Menus of Bulgarian Kindergartens
The new collection of recipes for meals in kindergartens will now include so-called Superfoods . It will be approved next year and the gardens will be able to offer chia, avocado, broccoli and brussel sprouts to children.
Higher weight for portions is also introduced because of the many signals that older children 130 grams are not enough.
Turkish restaurants mull banning salt
As Turkey tries to lower daily salt consumption, thousands of restaurants could be preparing to remove the much-maligned condiment from their tables.
Istanbul-based All Restaurants and Suppliers' Association is planning to discuss this issue during an executive meeting at the end of this month, an industry source said on condition of anonymity.

Greeks warned over apricot kernels and bitter almonds
The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) released a warning on Monday regarding apricot kernels and bitter almonds.
EFET advised adults to consume no more than two apricot kernels and bitter almonds daily, while suggesting that children and pregnant women refrain from their consumption altogether.
