Thessaloniki hospital loses mains electricity for 17 hours

Power has been restored to a Thessaloniki general hospital after supply issues left it without electricity for a short period.

The problems began at Gennimatas General Hospital when the power supply to the hospital failed early on Friday morning.

The institution then switched to generators but briefly lost power when the oil that fuels them ran out.

Electricity in Burgas is Now Restored

The Electricity System Operator said its teams have restored power supply in three Burgas neighbourhoods affected by a short circuit at the 110 kV Slaveykov substation.

The short circuit this morning cut off the supply to Izgrev, Slaveykov and Lazur neighbourhoods. The supply was restored at 10.45, two hours after the accident.
