Eurostat: The Youngest Mothers in EU are Bulgarians
The average age of women giving birth for the first time has gradually increased from 28.8 years in 2013 to 29.3 years in 2018. This age has increased in all member states for this period, according to data published today by Eurostat.

In the European Union (EU) in 2017, the majority of first births (92%) were to women aged between 20 and 39 years old. A further 4% of first births were to women aged below 20, while another 4% were to women aged 40 or over.
