Fire burst out on a roof of a building, located just meters away from the Council of Ministers in Sofia.

The emergency call was received shortly before 14:00 Wednesday, Bulgarian National Radio reports.

The building on fire is property of the department for architecture and geodesy. All employees have been evacuated.

Food Safety Regional Directorates in Dobrich, Varna and Burgas have launched a number of inspections in Bulgaria's Black Sea resorts with regards to the summer tourist season.

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency shut down the catering company, that provides food to the Presidency and Parliament, said the agency head Plamen Mollov. 

The reason is serious violations of safety procedures for food preparation, catering and lack of systems for control. 

The inspection was carried out after a signal from a “secret agent”.
