Kamala Harris unveiled an economic blueprint Friday heavy on popular measures to cut costs for Americans while attacking powerful companies for price gouging, as she fleshed out her election platform ahead of the Democratic National Convention.

The high prices that worry citizens and the government are not limited to the products on supermarket shelves. They concern a broad range of goods and services, from telecommunications and fuel to the quality of life provided by our municipalities and state.

Turkish police and gendarmerie's anti-smuggling and organized crime teams have carried out 288 operations in 65 provinces of Turkey in one month against attempts to produce fake, unauthorized and unhealthy disinfectants, colognes, masks and healthcare products.

Turkey has asked more than 100 companies to explain what it says are excessive price increases of goods, it said on Oct. 8, in a probe into suspected price gouging after a currency crisis pushed inflation to a 15-year high.
