Israel police recommend corruption charges against Netanyahu
Israeli police have recommended that Benjamin Netanyahu be indicted on bribery and breach of trust charges in two corruption cases, dealing an embarrassing blow to the embattled prime minister that is likely to fuel calls for him to resign.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was questioned by police on Nov. 9 vening in connection with two separate investigations into alleged corruption, a police statement said.
Former Israeli PM Olmert freed from jail on parole
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, 71, was released on parole on July 2 from a prison in Ramle, near Tel Aviv, after serving 16 months in jail for corruption.
Olmert was found guilty in 2014 of accepting bribes from real estate developers when he was Jerusalem's mayor, before his 2006-09 term as prime minister and head of a centrist political party.

Shimon Peres dies at 93
One of Israel’s defining political figures and a Nobel peace prize laureate died at the age of 93, two weeks after having a stroke. Shimon Peres had twice served as prime minister of Israel and later as the country’s ninth president. He had been seriously ill on a respirator in an Israeli hospital near Tel Aviv and died after his condition deteriorated sharply.

Netanyahu wants US release of Israeli spy Pollard kept low-key
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed Israeli officials to keep low-key about Friday's scheduled release by the United States of Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, a cabinet minister said.
The former U.S. Navy analyst's espionage for Israel in the 1980s remains a strain on ties with Washington, and his parole terms dictate that he stay in the United States for five years.
