Passion play's UNESCO listing "an honour and responsibility"
The Passion of Škofja Loka is considered one of the oldest continually staged procession plays in Europe, boasting a tradition of nearly 300 years.
The original text was written between 1715 and 1727 by Capuchin monk Lovrenc Marusic (1676-1748). It holds the record for the oldest completely preserved theatre play in the Slovenian language with some passages in Latin and German.
Bulgarian Faithful Hold Easter Procession with 'Virgin Mary Icon'
Bulgarian Orthodox faithful held the traditional Easter procession on Monday at Bachkovo monastery.
The participants carried an icon of Virgin Mary to mark Easter Monday, also called Bright Monday - an official holiday in the country.

The historic church of St. Voukolos (Agia Vukla) in Izmir held its first Holy Week services since 1922. Recently renovated, the church held its first Good Friday service and Epitaph procession through the streets of Izmir.

Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and his wife, Peristera Batziana, attended the Good Friday Epitaph procession at St. Catherine's Church at Plaka in downtown Athens. Greece's leader was accompanied by Government Spokesman Gavriil Sakellarides.

A procession to mark the Entry of our Lord into Jerusalem (the Procession of Palms) is taking place in Bucharest on Saturday as of 16:00 hrs, at the same time with the parade that gathers thousands of Christian pilgrims in Jerusalem.
Nearly 2,000 Catholics walk in Palm Sunday procession
Nearly 2,000 Catholics, including young people, children and priests from Bucharest parishes as well as nuns and monks on Sunday marched in a Palm Sunday procession held in Bucharest by the Roman Catholic Archbishopric.
