Thousands dance quadrille to mark end of school year

Around 6,000 students danced the quadrille, a traditional prom dance, in 20 Slovenian towns at noon on 19 May, in what has become a popular way to mark the end of school for final-year secondary school students.

Roughly 2,500 students danced in the capital of Ljubljana and around 1,000 in Maribor, the country's second largest city.

Idealist teachers volunteer to repair village schools, help children

With the COVID-19 pandemic creating the largest disruption in the education system to date, a group of idealist teachers in Turkey's east has been volunteering to help children and assist schools in overcoming their shortcomings.

In the eastern province of Batman, 12 idealist teachers painted and renovated 10 village schools throughout the pandemic period.

Bulgarian Teacher Dancing Very Provocatively During Prom

A 58-year-old teacher from Simeonovgrad was captured in an inappropriate dance with a man during a prom ball at a restaurant near Harmanli.

There the students of the St. Kliment Ohridski High School were celebrating on May 24th.

The next day the teacher resigned and expressed her heartfelt regret for what had happened.

1500 Bulgarian School-Leavers Donate Their Prom Money to Sick Children

Around 1500 school-leavers from 11 Bulgarian high schools donated their prom  money to the “Butterfly children”, said the Destructive Creation art group. 

To popularize their initiative the school-leavers made paper butterflies and placed them around the Sofia center.
