“The amendment to the contract of donation for the construction of the new wing of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Centre will be debated tomorrow, Tuesday 19 November, in the plenary session of the Parliament. This amendment increases the amount of the donation to 82 million euros, from the originally planned amount of 70 million euros.
Opening up construction tenders to smaller market players too
Construction market officials believe it is a matter of days until the government waives the criterion of the maximum pending projects permitted for companies entering tenders of higher budgets - a move that would open up the market and offer greater flexibility toward the optimum absorption of money from the Recovery and Resilience Fund.
Amendments to Cyprus’ Recovery Plan
The Cyprus Recovery and Resilience Plan Directorate is currently working with the European Commission to make amendments to the Recovery and Resilience Plan.
The goal is to ensure timely implementation and to redirect funds from less popular projects to more promising ones.

Greek cinema funds boosted
As part of the state's effort to promote modern Greek culture, the Greek Film Center (GFC) is to implement five new financial programs to boost the local industry.
