Bank stocks and PPC led Wednesday's price slump in the Greek stock market, though the fears of a continued deadlock in talks between Athens and its creditors through spring were somewhat contained by statements from European Commissioner Pierre Moscovici in Athens. Greece's four biggest lenders are concerned about the spin-off of the country's power grid operator ADMIE, a key condition of a bailout agreement between Athens and its official creditors, a banker and a government official said on Friday.

Public Power Corporation has referred the government's decision to set a starting price for power auctions, a case that is creating unrest in the energy industry,  to the Council of State. If PPC wins its case, it would lead to the overturning of the plans for strengthening competition in the electricity market agreed with the country's creditors.
