Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that the "Idlib incident" was "a false flag operation."

Putin added that Russia has information about plans to stage new, similar incidents - "including in the southern suburbs of Damascus - the plan is to plant some chemical there and accuse the Syrian government of an attack."

Putin advises Europe "to be more independent"

Russian President Vladimir Putin has told the Swiss RTS (SRS) broadcaster that he regretted Europe's lack of independence from the United States.

“It would be great to see Europe show more independence and sovereignty, and the ability to stand up for its national interests - the interests of its peoples and countries,” Putin said, according to RT.
