The deposed prince specifically received the second part of a trust set up by Queen Elizabeth, mother of Elizabeth II. The amount, according to the Times of London, is more than 9 million euros.

The changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace may draw tourists from far and wide, but on Sept. 3 visitors to the landmark were treated to a different sort of spectacle: a parade of corgis dressed up in crowns, tiaras and royal outfits.

A religious and military ceremony took place at the Otopeni International Airport for Queen Mother Helen, whose remains were flown in to Romania aboard an aircraft of the Romanian Air Force. Queen Helen died in Switzerland on November 29, 1982, when Romania was under a communist dictatorship. She was buried at the Boix-de-Vaud Cemetery in Lausanne.

The coffin bearing the earthly remains of Queen Mother Elena of Romania will arrive in the country on October 18, the Press Bureau of the House of HM The Crown Custodian announced in a release sent, on Tuesday, to AGERPRES.
