Bulgaria Marks Holocaust Remembrance Day, March 10

On March 10, Bulgaria marks the "Day of the Holocaust and Rescue of the Bulgarian Jews" and honors the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and the victims of crimes against humanity. March 10 was designated as the Holocaust Remembrance Day by decision № 105 of the Bulgarian Council of Ministers of February 19, 2003. 

Romanian Jews Try to Halt US Auction of Historic Document

The Jewish community in Cluj in Northern Transylvania has asked auction house Kestenbaum and Company to halt the sell-off of a 19th Century handwritten memorial register of the city's Jewish burials that it believes was stolen during the Holocaust, ahead of bidding that is scheduled to take place on Thursday.

Greek leaders on Wednesday marked the 76th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi-operated Auschwitz death camp in Poland. 

"Freedom, reason and dignity… The very nature of man was murdered at Auschwitz," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis tweeted.

"Memory must translate into constant vigilance and action against the Absolute Evil," he said.

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday marked the 76th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz death camp

"Freedom, reason and dignity… The very nature of man were murdered at Auschwitz," Mitsotakis tweeted.

"We honor the memory of Jews and particularly of Greek Jews that lost their lives in the Holocaust," he said.
