Djokovic overcomes Carreno Busta, to face Goffin
MONTE CARLO - Serbia's top-ranked male tennis player Novak Djokovic is through to the Monte Carlo Masters quarter-finals after beating Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 late Thursday.
Djokovic won after nearly two and a half hours of play and is now 2-0 head-to-head against Carreno Busta, who proved to be a tough opponent and came close to making an upset.

Djokovic wins thriller vs Simon, reaches Monte Carlo 3rd round
MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Novak Djokovic beat Frenchman Gilles Simon 6-3, 3-6, 7-5 on Tuesday to advance to the third round of the Monte Carlo ATP Masters tennis tournament.
Djokovic, who came from behind to win the match after being on the verge of defeat in the third set, will next face the winner of the tie between Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain and Karen Khachanov of Russia.
Troicki suffers early exit in Monte Carlo
MONTE CARLO - Serbia's Viktor Troicki has suffered an early exit from the Monte Carlo ATP Masters tennis tournament after losing to Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas 6-3, 6-0 in the opening round on Monday.
World number 27 Cuevas will next face Portugal's Joao Souza.

Serbia's Novak Djokovic is through to the fourth round of the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Indian Wells tennis tournament.
Djokovic beat Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro 7-5, 4-6, 6-1 in an excellent display, Tanjug is reporting.

Troicki ends season with defeat to Nishikori
PARIS - Serbia's Viktor Troicki has failed to cause an upset at the Paris Masters tennis tournament after losing to world number 4 Kei Nishikori 6-2, 7-5 in round two on Wednesday.
For most of the encounter, Troicki was no match for the in-form Japanese, who is now 6-1 head-to-head against him.

Bulgaria's Dimitrov Retains 18th Spot in Global Ranking
Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria has kept his 18th place in the ATP ranking, the association's website shows.
Dimitrov returned to the world's Top 20 after picking up this summer, following more than a year of heavy defeats which caused him to sing down the world ranking.
Lucas Pouille and Richard Gasquett, both from France, are No 17 and 19, respectively.
Juan Martin del Potro Defeats Bulgaria's Dimitrov in Stockholm
Juan Martin del Potro defeated Bulgaria's top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov at the ATP tournament in Stockholm.
The Argentinian reached the final after battling past Dimitrov (6:4, 7:5).
So far, Dimitrov has not managed a win against the Argentinian player.

Troicki defeats Rosol to set up clash with Nadal
SHANGHAI - Serbia's Viktor Troicki has got off to a successful start at the Shanghai Masters ATP tennis tournament after beating Lukas Rosol of the Czech Republic 6-2, 6-4 in the opening round on Monday.
Troicki, who won after 67 minutes of play, is now 3-3 head-to-head against Rosol thanks to a third consecutive victory over the Czech.
