Rafah Border Crossing

With help from Egypt and Ukraine, Moldovan authorities evacuated 13 Moldovan citizens, including children, from the Gaza Strip, who arrived back on Thursday following the recent military conflict between Hamas and Israeli forces, which destroyed much of the Gaza Strip.

Egypt has opened the Rafah border crossing with Gaza for the entire Muslim holy month of Ramadan, President Abdel-Fatah el-Sissi announced on Twitter, in what would be the longest uninterrupted period of time since 2013.

Egypt opened its borders with the Gaza Strip for the first time in months on June 13, allowing Palestinians to enter and leave the isolated coastal strip.
