Rape in Egypt

A 23-year-old man accused of raping a 62-year-old woman in a field in western Achaia, in the Peloponnese, was arrested by the police on Sunday. 

According to the police, the man sexually assaulted the woman earlier in the day while she was doing farm work. She reported the rape to the authorities and the 23-year-old was arrested shortly after. 

A 62-year-old archeological site guard from the island of Nisiros was remanded pending trial following complaints of harassment against minors, as decided on Thursday with concurrence from the prosecutor and examining magistrate.

Criminal charges include sexual assault, child seduction, attempted rape, child pornography and drug possession.

Twelve people were arrested and charged of child sexual abuse in Crete, it was revealed on Monday.

After an anonymous report to local police, it was revealed that in 2022 and 2023, one of the defendants raped a 14-year old girl, while the other 11 had also committed sexual acts against her.

A 42-year-old man was arrested in central Athens on Wednesday after he was accused of raping a teenage girl.

The 17-year-old girl appeared at the police station of Agios Panteleimonas on Wednesday night and told officers that she had been sexually assaulted by a Pakistani national with whom she had friendly relations. 

A 17-year-old from Crete, who was imprisoned in a youth detention center in Volos, central Greece, for about six months, told police he was gang raped and beaten throughout his incarceration.

Volos FC goalkeeper Boris Klaiman, accused of raping a minor, has been released on €20,000 bail. The soccer player was arrested at dawn on Tuesday in Kolonaki after he was accused of raping a teenager from Belgium who was in Greece on a school trip.

A young woman alleged she was raped in Athens by a 22-year-old man

Αllegations of sexual abuse implicating a prominent actor and director have reportedly been filed with the Athens Prosecutor's Office amid a recent flurry of complaints involving the country's theater industry.

The alleged victim of the abuse has also filed a lawsuit against the director.

The prototypes of the conservative decades of the past made for male-dominated societies with women confined to formal roles within the home, dependent on and subjugated to their husband and dedicated to raising the children.
