Greek Parliament approves Igoumenitsa, Thessaloniki port bills

Committee proposes ratification of NATO accession of Finland, Sweden

Ljubljana – The parliamentary Foreign Policy Committee discussed on Wednesday a bill to ratify the protocols on Finland and Sweden’s accession to NATO and decided to propose to the National Assembly to pass it. The committee proposed that the bill be discussed at an emergency session on Thursday.

Parliament ratified the protocols on the accession of the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Sweden to the North Atlantic Treaty.

This is happening after the NATO summit at the end of June decided to invite the two countries to the Alliance. With the accession of Finland and Sweden, the number of member states will increase to 32.
