BELGRADE - The average net salary in Serbia in August 2014 amounted to RSD 45.610, and compared to the average net salary paid in July 2014, it went up by 0.9 percent in nominal terms and 1.1 percent in real terms, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia said in a release.

FinMin: Gross average wage up 5.2 percent in 2014

The gross average wage will be 5.2 percent higher in 2014, on a 2013 basis, according to the forecast used for the budget review; the figure is significantly higher than the end-2014 inflation forecast of the National Bank of Romania (BNR, the central bank), the Ministry of Public Finance mentioned in a release answering media reports on lower wages this year.

BELGRADE -- The average monthly net salary in Serbia in April 2014 stood at RSD 45,847 - which on May 26 amounted to EUR 396.

The figure is an increase of 5.7 percent in nominal terms and 5.1 percent in real terms against March, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia said on Monday.

BELGRADE - Average net salary paid in Serbia in March 2014 amounted to RSD 43,452 - down by 1.4 per cent in nominal terms and 1.1 per cent in real terms compared to February, Statistical Office of Serbia released on Friday.

The average net salary in March this year went up by 4.2 per cent in nominal terms and 1.9 per cent in real terms year-on-year.

Eurobank calls general meeting to approve share increase


The countdown for Eurobank’s share capital increase started on Friday with a board meeting that decided to call an extraordinary general meeting for next Saturday, April 12.

The main subject of the meeting will be the 3-billion-euro capital increase and its approval is a mere formality given that 95 percent of shares belong to the HFSF bank rescue fund.
