Armed attack on Türkiye’s Aerospace Industry leaves five dead, including two terrorists

This afternoon, three armed individuals, including a woman, launched a surprise attack on the entrance of Türkiye’s Aerospace Industry Academy. According to preliminary information from the country’s Interior Ministry and a statement from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, five people have lost their lives, while 14 others are hospitalized in the Turkish capital.

Erdoğan meets with Venezuelan counterpart, receives Vietnamese PM

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Venezuelan counterpart Nicolas Maduro on Wednesday discussed bilateral ties in the Russian city of Kazan, the site of a summit of the BRICS group of countries.

During the meeting, Erdoğan and Maduro spoke about bilateral relations and regional and global issues, Türkiye's Communications Directorate said in a statement.

Erdoğan condemns terror attack on Ankara aerospace facility

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan condemned the deadly terrorist attack on the facilities of the aerospace and defense company TUSAŞ in Ankara on Oct. 23 during the BRICS meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Russia's Kazan province.

"We have four martyrs and 14 wounded. I condemn this heinous terrorist attack and wish mercy on our martyrs," Erdoğan said.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Tuesday praised Türkiye for playing a "vital role" in the alliance's southeastern flank and for providing key capabilities, saying Ankara has the "sovereign right" to work with BRICS partners.
