Germany, Austria to Discuss Differences over Caps on Migrant Arrivals
Austria and Germany plan to discuss differences in their approach to the number of migrants each of the two EU member states allows to enter its territory, the AP reported on Tuesday.
A meeting between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Austrian Vice-Chancellor Reinhold Mitterlehner will take place in Berlin on Wednesday.

Austria can't accept more than 100,000 migrants a year, the country's Vice Chancellor Reinhold Mitterlehner has said.
"Around 90-100,000 - a lot more will simply not be possible," Reuters quoted Mitterlehner as telling ORF radio station on Monday.

Austria Strengthening Border Controls, Sends Army to Help Deal with Migrant Influx
Austria said on Monday it will deploy about 2,200 troops to help deal with a massive migrant influx across its border with Hungary.
Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann told reporters in Vienna that the military would be mainly tasked with helping deliver humanitarian aid inside Austria but they "will also assist in a strengthening of border controls where necessary," AFP reported.
Austria awards order to scientist of Serbian descent
VIENNA - By a decree of Austrian President Heinz Fischer, Gordana Popovic, a Negotin, Serbian-born scientist, has received a senior order of the Republic of Austria.
She became the first Serbian woman to be awarded the Cross of Honour for Science and Art, First Class, established in 1887.
