Nagy-Bege (ANRE): Gov't's measures cover almost all electricity consumers, half natural gas consumers
The mechanism for compensating household energy bills announced by the government covers almost all electricity consumers nationwide and over half of the natural gas consumers, the vice-president of the National Regulatory Authority in the Energy Area (ANRE), Zoltan Nagy-Bege, said on Wednesday.
Electrical energy consumption of population up by 8.3 pct in first six months
The final electrical energy consumption rose by 7 pct in the first six months of this year, compared to the similar period of last year, on the backdrop of an 8.3 pct increase in the consumption of the population, according to data from the National Institute for Statistics (INS) published on Thursday.

Turkey's electricity import bill down 83 pct in first quarter
Turkey's electricity import bill in the first quarter of 2021 decreased by nearly 83 percent compared to the same period of 2020, according to Turkey's Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data released on April 30.
The data shows that Turkey paid nearly $3.37 million for electricity imports in the first quarter of the year, compared to $19.58 million in the January-March period of 2020.
Energy group GEN-I reports record profit for 2020
Ljubljana – The Slovenian energy group GEN-I sold a record 127.4 terawatt hours of electricity last year to generate the highest net profit to date. At EUR 15.4 million the profit was one percent above that posted in 2019 despite revenue falling by 4% to EUR 2.1 billion.

Companies looking at EUR 660m in development incentives in 2021
Ljubljana – The Economy Ministry has drafted a programme for development incentives for 2021, worth a total of EUR 660 million, including EUR 248 million in grants. The priorities of the programme include providing liquidity to companies and assistance in green and digital transition for higher added value.
Bulgaria will Introduce FITs for Solar Systems
The government is considering a €0.12/kWh feed-in tariff for PV installations with a generation capacity of up to 5 kW and of €0.10 for 5-30 kW systems. If implemented, the scheme will come into force next month.
