Italgas to invest €1 billion in Greece’s gas network
Italgas, which two years ago acquired DEPA Infrastructure and renamed Greece's gas grid company Enaon, announced this week it is preparing a total investment of 1 billion euros in Greece as part of the group's 2024-2030 Strategic Plan.

Italgas sees prospects for significant development of the Greek natural gas market, after fully controlling the Greek medium and low pressure network since September 2022, with the completion of the acquisition of DEPA Infrastructure.

Incentives for biomethane production
Biomethane, after photovoltaics, is emerging as the next field of activity for citizens in renewable energy sources. A bill promoted by the Ministry of Environment and Energy establishes incentives for the production and use of biomethane that can be distributed through the existing natural gas network and used by consumers.
