UPDATE GCS: 3,660 new COVID-19 cases; tests processed in last 24 hours - 8,791
A number of 3,660 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been registered in the last 24 hours, following 8,791 tests processed at national level, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Monday. These are cases that have not had previously a positive test, the GCS says. In Romania, 517,236 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been confirmed so far.
98 new Covid-19 deaths, lower number of infections
Greek health authorities announced 1,667 new SARS-CoV-2 cases on Friday, pushing the total number to 113,185.
Of the new cases, only nine were detected in Attica.
The daily death toll was also high on Friday, with the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) reporting 98 new deaths from Covid-19, raising the total number of fatalities to 2,804.

DefMin Ciuca: Military Hospital in Craiova to be regional anti-COVID-19 vaccination centre
The Military Hospital in Craiova will become a regional anti-COVID-19 vaccination centre, Defence Minister Nicolae Ciuca said in a message posted on Facebook. He added that he visited, on Thursday, a section of a health unit where there will be established a section for patients infected with the novel coronavirus.
Athens municipality conducting rapid tests on homeless
The municipality of Athens has launched a drive to test the city's homeless population for SARS-CoV-2 and prevent an outbreak.
The streetwork teams of the municipality's Center for Reception and Solidarity (KYADA) carry out daily rapid antigen tests and take the temperature of dozens of people.
New Covid-19 infections remain above 2,000, intubations rise
The new cases of SARS-CoV-2 remained above the 2,000 mark on Tuesday, while intubations rose again, according to a daily bulletin from the National Organization for Public Health (EODY).
Health authorities announced 2,186 new infections, which raised the overall number to 109,655.
Of these new cases, 28 were reported at the country's entry points.
111 Covid-19 deaths reported and 2,199 new infections
The number of new SARS-CoV-2 cases rose again on Tuesday with 2,199 infections reported from 1,044 on Monday.
Of these new cases, 25 were reported at the country's entry points.
Greece's total number of confirmed coronavirus cases is now 107,470, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said in its daily bulletin.

These are cases of patients that had not previously tested positive.
