The Contract For Building the Toll System in Our Country is Signed

The contract for building the toll system in our country is signed. Expected revenues for the first year amount to BGN 1 billion.

The system will be based on distance traveled and will only apply to vehicles over 3.5 tonnes. The whole project is worth BGN 150 million and the implementation deadline - by mid-2019.

It is agreed the system to be at the expense of the contractor.

Damage of a Wagon Interrupted the Movement of Some Trams in Sofia

Early this morning, a tramway train failure caused a traffic jam on Graf Ignatiev Street. Around 8 am the tram lines 10, 12 and 18 interrupted their traffic towards the center of Sofia.

The Urban Mobility Center said the problem that caused the accident was removed and the traffic was restored about half an hour later.

More than 300,000 Cars are on the Roads from Sofia to the Province for the Holidays

Increased pre-holiday traffic is expected today on the Hemus and Trakia highways, at the exits of Sofia, as well as on the E-79 international road, bTV reports.

According to Road Traffic Police,  300,000 vehicles are on the move just from the capital to different parts of the country.

Due to Hurricane Wind the Troyan Pass is Closed For All Motor Vehicles

Due to hurricane wind, bad visibility and snowing, the traffic for all motor vehicles is restricted through the Troyan pass, the Road Infrastructure Agency announced, quoted by bTV. 

Drivers should use alternative routes through the Shipka Pass and the Pass of the Republic.

Traffic measures to be put into effect for Polytechnic celebrations

Traffic police are putting extraordinary traffic regulations start from today until Friday in Athens due to the planned celebrations for the 44th anniversary of the Polytechnic uprising.
As police announced, diversions have been planned for today and Thursday concentrating around the Polytechnic in downtown Athens and Kanningos Square.

The Bulgarian Embassy in London Owes more than BGN 1.7 Million Congestion Charge

GBP 806 265  or BGN 1 769 568 owes the Bulgaria's embassy in London to the British company Transport For London for a congestion charge, the British Foreign Ministry reported.

There is GBP 11.50 congestion charge for each entry into the center of London during business hours. It was introduced by former mayor of London Ken Livingstone in 2003.
