Shelley Duvall, the versatile actor known for her role in "The Shining" and collaboration with director Robert Altman, died Thursday aged 75.

Citing her partner Dan Gilroy, The Hollywood Reporter said Duvall died in her sleep at her home in Blanco, Texas following complications of diabetes.

“My beloved, sweet, wonderful partner and friend has left us. She has suffered a lot lately, now she is free. Fly away, beautiful Shelley,” said Dan Gilroy, her partner since 1989, to the Hollywood Reporter.

The Athens International Film Festival (AIFF) commemorates the history of the eminent Athenian Cine Ideal, after its recent shuttering, with a series of screenings titled "Opening Nights Ideal" at the Cinobo Opera (57 Akadimias). As part of the series, Robert Altman's satirical comedy-mystery "Gosford Park" will be screened at 10.45 p.m, on February 3.
