The Sicilian swing band Jumpin'up will perform seven shows at the Half Note Jazz Club (17 Trivonianou) between December 27 and January 2. For 20 years, the band has brought their repertoire of blues, swing and rock 'n' roll to festivals across Europe. Mainly focusing on American and Italian swing, their music has made them one of the most beloved swing bands in the continent.

On Sunday, December 17, the Fuzz Club will be hosting its Christmas Boogie #6 with live rock 'n' roll. The event will feature bands and artists from Greece and abroad, including DJ sets. This year the Czech Republic's 6 Fireballs will be headlining the festivities with hits from the golden age of rock 'n' roll.

Atlanta, Georgia-based garage-rock act Black Lips is coming to Athens's Gagarin 205 venue on Thursday, August 24, with tracks from its new album - "Satan's Graffiti or God's Art?" - as well as older hits that underscore the act's dirty, rock 'n' roll vibe.

American guitarist, singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of rock and roll music, Chuck Berry, died at the age of 90 on Saturday, FOX News reported.

"St. Charles county police say they responded to a medical emergency Saturday afternoon (local time) and found Berry unresponsive. He could not be revived and was pronounced dead," the channel said.
