ST PETERSBURG - Friendly and religious ties, as well as the good economic relations and Serbia's strategic position and potential in its relations with the EU, are the reasons why Serbia was selected as a partner country at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Russian Deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin said Thursday.

Russian Deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin has said that Serbia is more interested in buying air defense systems Tor and Buk than S-300s.

According to Beta, he added that this will depend on the Serbian budget.

Serbian First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and Russian Deputy PM Dmitry Rogozin met on Thursday in Suzdal, RF.

They met in their capacity as co-chairs of the Serbian-Russian inter-governmental committee on trade, economic and scientific and technical cooperation, whose 15th regular session is held November 2-3.

India and Russia are contemplating to create a 'green corridor' in order to boost bilateral trade ties.
