Roland Dyens

Guitarists Elena Papandreou, together with Susana Prieto and Alexis Muzurakis of Duo Melis, pay tribute to French guitarist, composer, arranger and teacher Roland Dyens (1955-2016), at the Athens Concert Hall on Saturday, March 17. Papandreou, who was a personal friend of Dyens, will play his Concerto Metis for solo guitar and strings, while Duo Melis will perform his Concertomaggio.

Hailed as one of the best guitar quartets in the world right now, Michael Baker, Vasilis Bessas, James Jervis and Rory Russell of Aquarelle will perform at the Athens Concert Hall on Saturday, February 10. The concert is a tribute to French classical composer and guitarist Roland Dyens. It starts at 8.30 p.m. and tickets cost 10 and 15 euros.

The Akbank Sanat Guitar Days concert series will come to an end on Jan. 30, but not before two concerts featuring well-known international guitar composers.
