Demolition begins on illegal structures in Istanbul’s Üsküdar

Demolition actions have commenced on an illegal structure in Istanbul's Üsküdar district, where unauthorized construction was halted last month.

The area, overlooking the Bosphorus in the Vaniköy neighborhood, has been under scrutiny following the discovery of building violations.

EU has frozen 17 bn euros in Russian assets: official

The European Union has frozen Russian assets worth around 17 billion euros since Moscow invaded Ukraine, EU Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders said in an interview.     

The figure has risen from the roughly 13.8 billion euros ($13.75 billion) "from oligarchs and other entities" that Reynders announced in July that the EU had frozen, mainly in five countries.    

Abramovich anchors superyachts worth $1.2 bln in Türkiye

Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich - sanctioned by the U.K., European Union and Canada - has anchored two more superyachts in Turkish waters, bringing the total count to four.

According to Luxury Launches, a website publishing stories about the world's jet set, the 55-year-old tycoon brought 67-meter-long "Garcon" and 55-meter-long "Halo" to the Aegean coastal district of Göcek.

Chelsea fans could have a clear idea of who will be the next owners of the Blues this week, with American bank Raine expected to reveal its preferred bidder from among three offers.

Russian billionaire Akhmedov vacations at Turkish resort in Bodrum

The Russian businessman of Azeri origin Farkhad Akhmedov visited the Aegean province of Muğla on holiday with his family on Aug. 13.

The 62-year-old businessman enjoyed the Bodrum bay from the Turkish resort.

Photographs of him swimming and diving in the sea have been captured. Akhmedov also took a sunbath with his wife Tatyana and their three children.
