Food delivery spending soars
More and more households in Greece are relying on takeout, having food delivered as many as three times a week. Rising demand has also led to an increase in recent years of food service enterprises being established with the exclusive purpose of distributing ready meals, without having a dining area.

A 2,000-year-old fast-food stall unearthed from the ash of Pompeii has given researchers new clues about the snacking habits of the ancient Romans.
The ornate snack bar counter, decorated with polychrome patterns and frozen by volcanic ash, was partially exhumed last year but archaeologists extended work on the site to reveal it in its full glory.

Journalist cooks using Apicius's recipes at Roman Festival
Targu Mures-based journalist Botond Gaspar became famous after succeeding in cooking several ancient Roman recipes inspired from Apicius's 'De re coquinaria' at the latest two editions of the Roman Festival in Calugareni (southern Romania).
