MAE: Consultations in Bucharest with leaders of Romanian minority in Ukraine on mother-tongue education
A representative delegation of the leaders of the Romanian minority in Ukraine had a round of consultations, on Thursday, in Bucharest, with the Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs, Dan Neculaescu, at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE).
Ukraine Denies President Accused Romania of ‘Occupying’ Region
Ukraine's ambassador to Romania, Oleksandr Bankov, has blamed a controversy over words attributed to the Ukrainian President about the Northern Bukovina region on a mistranslation.
President Volodymyr Zelensky was quoted as saying that the region, which formed part of Romania between the two world wars but is now in Ukraine, was "occupied by the Romanians" in 1919.
