Bulgarian lawmakers have gathered to vote on the resignation of the government led by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.
On Sunday, Borisov announced he would step down over the results of the presidential election. He deposited the resignation a day later.

GERB To Hold Talks With Bulgaria's President on New Mandate
The meeting of the parliamentary group of GERB and President Rossen Plevneliev will take place on Thursday, announced in Parliament the Deputy Chairman of the party Tsvetan Tsvetanov.
There will be political consultations which the President will hold with all groups represented in Parliament in order to look for solutions useful for the state, said Tsvetanov.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has said he will step down next week, just after his candidate Tsetska Tsacheva emerged as a loser of the presidential election's runoff.
He has also urged an early election, warning the next government would be made by the socialist opposition party BSP and ethnic Turk-dominared DPS if his mandate is handed over to the socialists.
