Sofia History Museum Reopens after 72 Years
A museum exploring the history of Bulgaria's capital opened doors again on Thursday.
The ceremony coincided with the Day of Sofia, which is celebrated on September 17 every year.
The permanent exhibition is dedicated to the city's past, telling stories dating from the III millennium BC to the 1940s.

More artifacts at Ephesus Museum after renovation
The Ephesus Archaeological Museum, which was temporarily closed in 2012 for the renewal of merchandizing, was reopened last month by Culture and Tourism Minister Ömer Çelik. The number of artifacts in the museum on display for visitors has increased five-fold.

History on display in modest Adana backyard
Hatun Dilci, who lives in the modest village of Dilekkaya in Turkey's southern province of Adana, displays dozens of priceless historical artifacts in her garden with the permission of the museum directorate. The village lies at the foot of the hilltop on which the Anavarza Fortress sits.

Thousands flock to Cycladic Museum's "Hygeia" exhibition
More than 50,000 people have visited the exhibition at the Museum Cycladic "Hygeia: Health, Sickness and Treatment from Homer to Galen," that kicked off at the Museum of Cycladic Art on November 19. The display, set to run until May 31, has already met with a great deal of interest.
Salvaged ancient artifacts from metro in Macedonia
The Dion Archaeological Museum's "Opening Roads" exhibition of findings from salvage excavations from 2008-2013 kicks off in Northern Greece at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 8. The artifacts on show were found at roadworks carried out to build a segment of the national road.

Construction company tries to cover up Byzantine structure with cement
A cistern-like Byzantine-era structure has been unearthed during renovation of an underpass in Istanbulâs Beyazıt neighborhood. The construction company had tried to cover up the entrance to the structure to continue its work, but thanks to the keen eyes of a local citizen it has been rescued from being buried underground, according to daily Hürriyet.
