Serbia Activists Suspect Plan to Curb Abortion
Serbian civil rights activists have raised their voices against the possible formation of a special body, that could include priests, that would advise women on abortions, after Serbia's Demography Minister, Slavica Djukic Dejanovic, hinted at such a plan in an interview. Later she said she had been misunderstood.

"Albanian family" attempts smuggling 40 kilos of drugs
Serbian Customs and police officers on Tuesday thwarted an attempt to smuggle 39.4 kilos of narcotic across the country's northern Horgos border crossing.
The Customs Admisnitration said the drug, that the perpetrators tried to take across the border into Hungary, was "most likely" heroin.
Police bust cocaine and cannabis dealing gang
The Greek Police (ELAS) on Tuesday announced the arrest of 10 suspects believed to belong to a large drug-trafficking ring.
Authorities seized 173 kilograms of unprocessed cannabis and nearly 300 grams of cocaine that had not yet been diluted for sale during raids conducted in different parts of the Greek capital and in Ioannina in northwestern Greece, ELAS said in a press release.

Cancer-related deaths on the rise in Greece
One in 10 deaths recorded in Greece in 2014 were due to blood circulation complications, while one in four were due to cancers, according to a report published by the Greek Statistical Authority.
In brief, 45,859 people died due to circulation-related illnesses - mainly heart and brain conditions - in 2014, but that was down compared to 2000, when 52,283 deaths were recorded.

Harmanli Riots: Scabies Found among Some Migrants
A sixth of migrants examined in the center of Harmanli, southern Bulgaria, have got scabies, authorities say.
As many as 81 are infected, out of 500 who went through examinations, news website Dnevnik.bg quotes medical officials in the region of Haskovo (where Harmanli lies) and the Bulgarian News Agency as saying.

Company fires, then rehires single mom ill with cancer
A worker ill with cancer who was told over the phone that her contract would not be extended will be offered a new contract by the Nis-based Yura factory.
The woman, Violeta Petrovic, found out that her 18-month limited time contract with the Korean company which expired on November 30 would not be extended while she was on sick leave, battling breast cancer.
Newly literate Turkish woman suffers brain hemorrhage live on TV while introducing book
Nazmiye Kocakulak, a writer who learned to read and write at the age of 62, suffered a brain hemorrhage while being interviewed live on private Turkish broadcaster TV8 on Nov. 30, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Kocakulak joined the show in Istanbul to talk about her newly released book on her life, titled "Alone."
'No Dangerous Diseases' Found So Far in Bulgaria's Harmanli
There have been no immediate reports of epidemic diseases at the migrant accommondation and reception centr in Harmanli in Southern Bulgaria, a medical official has said.
Among the first 80 migrants examined, only a case of scabies has been registered, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) quotes Sonya Dimitrova, the head of Haskovo's health inspection office, as saying.
Venereal disease in Greece on the rise
In messages sent ahead of International AIDS Day on December 1, experts reported that a lack of awareness, in particular among the young, and the large influx of migrants to Greece were the main cause for the rapid increase in sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in recent years.
