Credit card payments increase 78 percent in November
Credit card payments rose by 78 annually in November, topping 1.3 trillion Turkish Liras ($37.2 billion), according to the Interbank Card Center (BKM).
There were 128.9 million credit cards in use in the country as of last month, marking an 11 percent rise from a year ago, while the number of transactions with credit cards grew 15 percent year-on-year to 895.2 million.
Credit card spending surged 120 percent in April
Credit card spending increased by 120 percent in April compared with the same month last year to hit 930.4 billion Turkish Liras ($28.9 billion), according to data from the Interbank Card Center (BKM).
The number of credit cards in use in Türkiye rose by 15 percent year-on-year last month to reach a total of 122.1 million.

Credit card spending soars 138 percent in March
Credit card spending increased by 138 percent on an annual basis in March to hit 992 billion Turkish Liras ($30.4 billion), according to data from the Interbank Card Center (BKM).
The number of credit cards in use in Türkiye rose by 17 percent compared to March of last year to a total of 121.4 million.

Card payments soar 122 percent
Payments made with credit cards, debit cards and prepaid cards stood at 836 billion Turkish Liras ($28.9 billion) in October, rising 122 percent from a year ago, according to the data from the Interbank Card Center (BKM).

Card payments rise 109 percent in June
Payments made with credit cards, debit cards and prepaid cards hit 639 billion Turkish Liras ($23.7 billion) in June, rising 109 percent from a year ago, according to the data from the Interbank Card Center (BKM).
Total card payments grew 2 percent from May.

Mastercard launches campaign to expand card payment among SMEs
Ljubljana – Mastercard has launched an initiative with which it aims to encourage as many small businesses in Slovenia as possible to make a transition to digital payment methods. A total of one million euro will be available to selected participants in the next three years.
Jump of 30% in online card transactions
Card transactions have soared 30% this year, largely thanks to the growth in online commerce as a result of the pandemic, according to figures compiled by Mastercard.
