Sofia Amongst Top-Regions With Highest Share Of Brain Business Jobs
- In Sofia fully 12.4 percent of adults are employed in brain business jobs. This is amongst the highest shares in all of Europe.
- In the average European region 5.8 percent of adults work in brain business jobs. The share of knowledge-intensive workers in Sofia is 114% higher than the average European region.
Greek factory activity grows for second straight month in July
Greek manufacturing activity expanded in July for the second straight month, driven by a rise in staffing numbers and output, a survey showed on Tuesday.
Markit's Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for manufacturing, which accounts for about 10 percent of the economy, stood at 50.5 in July, unchanged from June. Readings above 50 denote expansion in activity.

Robots, new working ways to cost 5 mln jobs by 2020, Davos study says
Disruptive labor market changes, including the rise of robots and artificial intelligence, will result in a net loss of 5.1 million jobs over the next five years in 15 leading countries, according to an analysis published in Davos on Jan. 18.
Country must focus on added-value sectors
Unless Greece trebles its growth efforts in the economic sectors where the country currently enjoys added value, it will take at least a quarter of a century before the local jobs market recovers to a level last seen before the crisis, according to a report by global nonprofit organization Endeavor Greece to be presented at a conference starting on Thursday in Athens.
