A Turkish military airbase in the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri has launched the second maintenance center for Airbus A400M tactical transport planes, according to an official.

The annual cost of cancer treatment in Turkey, currently estimated at $3 billion per year, is expected to at least triple by 2030, Turkish Society for Radiation Oncology head Esra Kaytan Sağlam has said.

Sabri Çelebi went on the streets with a machete during the Gezi Park Protests in Istanbul in 2013 and attacked protesters. He injured a woman by kicking her and a policeman from his hand. He was caught but released immediately afterwards. He went abroad. The ruling for his release was rejected.

An Istanbul court on June 22 ordered the arrest of a man who is facing charges of attacking a 21-year-old woman "for wearing shorts" on a bus, Doğan News Agency has reported. The arrest follows his earlier release from detention pending investigation.

A day earlier, an Istanbul prosecutor issued an arrest warrant for Ercan Kızıltaş, who was caught on camera on June 14 attacking the woman, Melisa Sağlam, for "wearing mini-shorts during Ramadan." 

A 21-year-old woman who was attacked by a man in Istanbul on the grounds of "wearing a mini skirt during Ramadan" has applied to the prosecutor's office for her assailant to be re-arrested, after he was released following his testimony at the police station.
