Chief of Turkey's beer giant Anadolu Efes resigns

Turkey's largest beer maker Anadolu Efes has announced that Robin Michael Goetzsche, who has been serving as its president and CEO since November 2015, will be leaving his position as of Dec. 31.

A statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) on Nov. 21 said Goetzsche will be leaving due to personal reasons.

Anheuser-Busch In Bev SA/NV's merger with SABMiller Plc is unlikely to alter the competitive landscape of the European beer market over the next 12-24 months, as it will take time for the combined entity to hit its stride, Moody's Investors Service said in a special report published on Feb. 2. 

Top brewers AB InBev, SABMiller agree mega tie-up

British brewer SABMiller announced on Oct. 13 that it had agreed a takeover by Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world's biggest beer producer, in a deal worth about $109 billion (71 billion, 96 billion euros).

Belgian-Brazilian group AB InBev, the maker of Budweiser and Stella Artois lagers, struck a deal with the maker of Foster's and Grolsch at the fifth time of asking.
